FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
When does the Board of Directors meet? On the 4th Thursday of every month at 1:00PM in the Clubhouse. All HOA members are welcome! When are the HOA dues due? On the 1st of each month. My neighbor’s cats are constantly on my property, what can be done about it? As with so many situations it is necessary for neighbors to show more respect for others and their property. While cats are not a licensed animal in the State of Oregon, they are at the same time not to be a nuisance to others. Please do not bring animals into your homes unless you have control over them. Running the neighborhood is a disrespect to your neighbors and a danger to your pets. If your animal damages another owners personal property you are setting yourself up for a civil suit. Bottom line, keep your cats indoors. My neighbor's dog barks all the time, what can I do? Contact Douglas County Animal Control at 541-440-4328. I'm new to the community, where do I get a trash can? Contact Winston Sanitary Services at 541-679-7777. When is garbage pickup day? Winston Sanitary Services pick up the trash every Monday whether it is a holiday or not. It is recommended to put your trash can out Sunday night, although they rarely come by before 9AM. Trash bin must be put away by Tuesday. What kind of trash recycling do we have? "Currently" - At the landfill/transfer station only tin/aluminum, glass, oil/hazerdous waste, car batteries. At the curbside, though, you can set on the ground next to your trashcan - 3-ply cardboard, newspapers, and tin/aluminum and someone from the Winston Sanitary Services will come by in a Pick-up truck later to take those items away. If you call Winston Sanitary and ask for a green recycle container, they will provide one at no cost. However, if you go to the Douglas County Transfer Station/Recycling Center and Landfill (exit 123 from I-5), there are more options for recycling. Some are free (like glass) and some have a fee.
